Platelet Rich Treatment (PRP)
PRP Treatment For hair loss (hair restoration)
We are excited to announce a new non surgical treatment option for hair loss. It is called Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy as a treatment option for male and female hair loss. PRP is the non surgical and a safe option for patients experiencing hair loss. PRP contains special cells called Platelets, that can cause growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the stem cells and other cells in the microenvironment of the hair follicle. These special Platelet cells promote healing, accelerates the rate and degree of tissue healing and regeneration, responds to injury, and formation of new cellular growth. The primary purpose
of using PRP in hair restoration is to stimulate inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into an active growth phase.
PRP is evidence based and recent medical literature has been published on the
success for PRP hair restoration.
PRP Treatment for Cosmetic Rejuvenation
PRP Cosmetic Rejuvenation works pretty much the same way. Once injected into your skin, the platelets will accelerate the normal healing process and produces new collagen (what tendons are made of) at the injected area. Here’s the list of cosmetic procedures commonly performed with
PRP: Wrinkle improvement: fine wrinkles, eye wrinkles, wrinkles around mouth, forehead wrinkles.
• Skin pores and elasticity: reduction of skin pore size, improvement in skin elasticity and skin tone.
• Skin pigmentation disorders: skin whitening against hyper-pigmentation such as freckles, skin blemish, etc.
• Other applications: improvement in hair loss, chapped skin, burn wound, dark circle, etc.
HOW DOES PRP WORK?
Human blood consists of stem cells and blood products that contain essential and specific growth factors that assist in tissue growth and repair. For three decades PRP has been used as an additional medial therapy for skin, tissue and wound healing. its application in the fields of Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Aesthetics and dentistry has been a great success. For hair restoration, evidence supports PRP therapy as a promising treatment option to promote hair growth. While PRP is in the early stages of scientific research in hair restoration, it is proving to be a non- surgical option for hair loss, and thus can be used as an adjunct to current FDA approved therapies such as DHT blockers and Minoxidil.
