All of our chemical peel treatments are for men and women, and are undertaken after consultation at the discretion of our beauty therapist. The Clarena chemical peel system promotes healthier, younger-looking skin. This chemical Peel is effective at visibly diminishes the look of fine lines and wrinkles. By increasing hydration and suppleness to the skin It balances out all irregular skin tones. It can also improve oily/acne prone skin, and clean out pores.
Glycolic acid is currently a popular treatment for winkles and acne. Part of the alpha hydroxyl family of natural ingredients, derived from sugar cane and is a fruit acid.

The chemical peel system can only be performed as a clinical procedure by a professional trained Beauty Therapist. Administered in this way the glycolic peel system enables the removal of surface skin cells, stimulating skin renewal to improve the appearance of the skin.
You will notice a difference in the texture of your skin immediately. The procedure is fast and convenient, taking only about fifteen minutes. And with virtually no recovery time, you can be back to your normal routine the same day. There is no significant pain or discomfort or need for an anesthetic.
What happens prior to the treatment?
For 2 weeks before this skin care treatment, please use your home skin care products, which contain a mild glycolic acid to help prepare the skin.This will be a Gentle Cleanser 2% and a chemical peel lotion 5% and should be used daily for the duration of 2 weeks. For male clients, shaving should be avoided on the day of the treatment.
What happens during the treatment?
When you attend your appointment your face will be cleansed. the chemical peel will then be added for 3 minutes. You may feel a little tingling sensation. Your face will then be cleansed with water after the 3 minute treatment.
What happens after the treatment?
Avoid Glycolic skin care products for 24hrs after treatment. You may use normal skin products instead. You will need to continue using the Glycolic Peel products. This will be a Gentle Cleanser 2% and a chemical peel lotion 10%. These 2 products will need to be applied every morning and evening. To prevent damage to skin, sun-bathing and tanning booths should be avoided.
Use a Factor 30 (UVA and UVB filter) sun cream to protect the skin for at least 2 weeks after your last treatment.Avoid any facial masks or scrubs during the course of treatments and for 2 weeks after your last treatment. Make-up can be applied immediately and normal activities can resume after treatment.
How does the treatment feel?
There is no pain or discomfort, but you may feel a slight tingling. You will not need an anesthetic. Most people undergo chemical peel without any side effects. A slight temporary redness is normal and can be covered with make up.
What will I see after treatment?
The procedure produces an instant radiance to the skin. Most patients reported tighter, smoother and brighter looking skin after just 1 treatment.
How many treatments are necessary?
The amount of treatments required cannot be achieved without consulting a qualified Beauty Therapist. In general the minimum amount of treatments to see effective results would be 3 appointments and these would be every 4 weeks.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment time is approximately 15 minutes.
We do advise you to use Sun Protection after every Chemical Peel treatment
